About this calculator

A cumulative GPA gives more weight to terms with more credits. This calculator combines the grade points represented by your current GPA with the grade points from a new term.

How to use it

  1. Enter your current cumulative GPA and the number of credits already completed.
  2. Enter your GPA and credits for the new term.
  3. See your estimated new cumulative GPA.

Cumulative GPA formula

New cumulative GPA = (current GPA × current credits + term GPA × term credits) ÷ total credits

A strong term changes your cumulative GPA more when it represents a larger share of your total credits.

Use the same GPA scale for both values. If your school excludes repeated, pass/fail or transferred courses, follow its official GPA policy.
