About this calculator
A cumulative GPA gives more weight to terms with more credits. This calculator combines the grade points represented by your current GPA with the grade points from a new term.
How to use it
- Enter your current cumulative GPA and the number of credits already completed.
- Enter your GPA and credits for the new term.
- See your estimated new cumulative GPA.
Cumulative GPA formula
New cumulative GPA = (current GPA × current credits + term GPA × term credits) ÷ total credits
A strong term changes your cumulative GPA more when it represents a larger share of your total credits.
Use the same GPA scale for both values. If your school excludes repeated, pass/fail or transferred courses, follow its official GPA policy.
